Her 7 year old son is a 2nd grader at Reed and her 14 year old step-daughter is a freshman at Carl Sandburg High School. Marcee loves to read, travel and volunteer and looks forward to watching the D92 community grow!
Thanks to the generous donations from parents across the District, the Teacher & Faculty Engagement Committee hosted a "Sense"national Teacher Appreciation Week! The theme for each day incorporated one of the five senses, including hand massages for touch, flowers for smell & hand written letters from our students!
This February, the PFA hosted their first ever "A Girl & Her Sweetheart Dance". Girls from D92 and their chosen adult chaperone enjoyed an evening of dancing, food, crafts and lots of fun!
In April, the boys of D92 put on their dancing shoes while learning fun moves from The Headspin Guy!
The PFA proudly contributed to a bench honoring beloved Walsh Secretary, Kim Smith. Kim had a tremendous impact on the Walsh community and was a treasured member of the D92 family.
Throughout the year, the PFA supports several school initiatives, from supplying gifts for school assemblies to providing raffle baskets for STEM night and purchasing graduation signs for all 8th graders.
